I wish my elementary school teachers had access to everything that is available now when I was in school. Growing up I never really enjoyed school and often found the lessons to be boring. I think that with the help of technology to keep my attention, I would've found school to be much more enriching and helpful. Now that I am planning to be a teacher, I feel that I can bring a student's viewpoint to a lesson and help make boring lessons become more exciting.
The first example that came to my head was teaching the multiplication tables. I remember learning multiplication tables boring and seemingly useless. By using different videos, just as one example, you can show the students how it can be useful in the real world. Also, you can use different slide shows and presentations on the computer to make it seem more entertaining and interactive.
